Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Music Is My Inspiration ContestWell guys I've decided to start my own contest, because I had awesome feedback on the idea ^_^
It'll be my first contest that I've held...EVER! So it's very exciting :3

As you all probably noticed, I havn't been on in a long time. Most of you are a little ticked that I havn't been getting anything done and now with these three kids of mine... It's looks pretty bleak.
So~ I have found a... Well, we'll call her a "replacement."

Her name is Katelyn and she is a close friend of mine!

She knows me personally and accepted my... *ahem* Request to complete my stories. You know, if she can. She also told me of her great idea for a comic she plans to do for you all! I bet it'll be amazing!
She just started DeviantArt today, actually... Her username is ImaginaryLights.

I'm sure you will all love her! I taught her many things about writing, so her style shouldn't be too different.
She's more hardcore of a Sonic fan than myself, actually.

Sorry, but I felt this was the best way to do it. I mean, I have so little time now and I feel bad for not being here to create stories for you... And Katelyn is a really good writer, so I thought, you know...
Oh, and she'd like to be called Light, because that was the character we both designed.

In fact, she's the one who helped me created my character, DS.
I was never good at designin characters really. You know, art wise. Story wise, easy as pie! She's more the artist than me, so I'm positive her comic idea will be smashing!

Please follow her if you want to see endings of my stories and such.

We see each other often, so I'll be able to ensure the stories are accurate and going the way I intended them.

Tiresome is what they are... You get one asleep, then the other will cry, waking the other two up... Haven't had a good night's sleep for days now...

Axel is pretty quiet though. His crying is more of a wimper than anything else... Amelia... Oh god, she screams! x.x

Yeah, babies seem to enjoy waking the others up. You'll get some sleep eventually though, key word: eventually.

Some babies are louder than others...I was told stories on how I would roar and scream so loudly that my grandparents living above us (we had a duplex with one house on top of the other) would come running down to our house.
